White Teacher Sues California union After Allegedly blocking him from leadership for being white

May 30, 2024: “A teacher in the Elk Grove School District…filed a federal lawsuit against his National Education Association affiliate for allegedly violating his Title VII civil rights. The suit alleged that the [EGEA] formed a seat only available to candidates of color, meaning Newman wasn’t eligible.”
April 2, 2024: “New legal documents filed recently in an ongoing union corruption case…say officials funneled $1.8 million into a trust fund that’s yet to be recovered. [They] then destroyed evidence of its existence. The lawsuit…accused the treasurer of the local chapter of the Pennsylvania State Corrections Officers Association of misappropriating $20,000.”
March 18, 2024: “The Second Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that six [CUNY] professors must accept the representation of a union that they believe hates them. The ruling affirmed a lower court’s dismissal of a lawsuit challenging a public-sector union’s “exclusive representation” of the professors’ bargaining unit, citing precedent that can only be overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. The plaintiffs plan to give the High Court that opportunity.”

January 9, 2024: “Grande, who is filing the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, claimed in the suit that he was targeted for punishment by the school district for refusing to ‘endorse their agenda to push critical race theory on teachers’ after a mandatory ‘Identity and Privilege’ training.”
